The universe of this book is based on some really bogus assumptions, most importantly a neurological disorder which keeps people from dying. Other than that it's the same as ours, which feels very unrealistic and not well thought through. If you are willing to let that slip this book is actually a fun read.
This book is refreshingly different from the works of western writers. The story is unique and full of surprises. If you're not afraid of the challenge of keeping up with the Chinese names, I highly recommend this book and give it 5 stars.
Despite some good moments, which give hope for future books by Zander, it feels like this book cannot fill the stage it sets for itself. It's trying to be a big spy/politics thriller on a global scale, but somehow the story felt a little to small to fit this genre.
