I loved almost everything about it! Especially the whole Sydrian thing, that it was finally happening! I'm so happy that Sydney admitted her feelings and stopped denying them.
I liked how this book focused more on Sydney and Adrian and less on Jill/Eddie/Angeline or the school but you still knew what was going on there. But poor Sydney. Sometimes her problems and duties were so overwhelming that I felt exhausted.
Marcus kinda surprised me. I didn't expect such a charming and funny character even though his 'mission' is serious and dangerous. I hope we'll see him again but I'm pretty sure of that :)
What bothered me that some parts were so predictable, just like in the first book. For example Angeline cheating on Eddie with Trey. Or that evil witch using Sydney's necklace for some kind of spell. But it had also a lot of surprises (Zoe being the new Alchemist in town? A new dhampir? Woooo!) so I'm satisfied :)
There were also a few mistakes that could have been avoided (since when was Tatiana Christian's great aunt?) but on the whole it was a satisfying book that I couldn't put away :)
I really liked this short story. After reading Bloodlines it was nice to see Rose and Dimitri again. The only thing that bothered me was that it didn't.. feel like the VA books. I don't know why, it just felt different. But like I said, I still liked it. Maybe I would have loved it if it was longer :)
Such a great book. I couldn't put it away and I read it for hours without realizing it. One thing I loved about it was that I could feel her emotions. I was angry when Helen was angry, I was happy when she was happy. Reading it felt amazing and it's definitely one of the best books I've ever read.
Contains SPOILERS I guess :) I only wrote something about the end.
Yesterday I finished The Chronicles of Narnia and wow I never expected it to end like that. I’m so sad that the Pevensies died in this railway crash thing. I thought they’d grow old and even tell their grandchildren about their adventures in Narnia. But it’s sweet that they are all united in the end. With Polly and Digory and Jill and Eustace and all their dead friends from Narnia. But I have so many questions! Like what happened to Susan? I never liked her but it’s so sad that she wasn’t a ‘friend of Narnia’ anymore but somehow it saved her life because she wasn’t at the wrong place at the wrong time and is still alive, right? I wonder what’ll happen to her when she dies. Will she see Narnia again? And I want to know why the ‘old’ Narnia died. Was it because not many people believed in Aslan anymore? Or was it just the time?
My favourite stories were The Silver Chair, The Horse and His Boy and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I was a bit bored by The Magician's Nephew though.
I give this book only 3 stars because it didn't feel as good as the other ones. Nothing really happened and it felt more like some kind of prequel. I still liked it though and I'm excited for his next book :)
I read the whole book in one night and it was so much better than the first in my opinion. However, the kids are 16-18 years old in my head and I can't empathize with them. Not one of them. They are all so boring to me, I don't know why :/ So I won't read the next books. I'll probably just read the summaries.
It was a good book but after Vicious, which was such a great book, I was kinda disappointed. It was very predictable and the reveal (who's responsible for the mess in the Archive) wasn't surprising at all, I suspected them from the beginning. It was still enjoyable though :)
Wow. That was just bad. I don't even know what to say about it. Sometimes it felt so rushed that I thought I missed some pages. The romantic stuff was so random and overall it just annoyed me. It was so cheesy. Usually I like YA books so I thought I'd like this one too (I love Vampire Academy) but I guess my expectations were too high. But even if I had no expectations whatsoever I would have been disappointed.
