Fables, Volume 1: Legends in Exile
128 Seiten

Well, I have to admit that I am not that expert of Comics or graphic novels. So it might be easier for them to seduce me as soon as I have started one. Fables was a present - from me, not for me to Christmas, handed over on 27th. As I am already threw with it, well, I was completely sucked into the story for some (too short) hours.

If you like classical fables, you will also like this comic. How long ago was your last rendevouz with Snow White or Red Rose? When was your last dance with Cinderella? I have not been aware that I missed them so much, even if I around the holidays sometimes attracted by the fable movies on TV. And in this comic, they grew old, sometimes a bit egocentric, sometimes a bit shameless, cruel. Some of them managed to stay as they have been in their fables, but are frustrated due to that. The author and the graphics are well done, some of them real eye-catchers. The dialogs are adult, with many word-games, hints to the original fables, and most important, got me to smile and to laugh out loud. Great series, I am already looking forward to read Volume 2.
